Many of my clients create new year resolutions, but stats show they are void by March. So this year I am telling everyone to forget the resolution list. Concentrate these next few months on learning how your body works naturally. It took years to get out of shape, it is not realistic to get in shape in a month. But you can learn how to gain more energy, you can get rid of sleep apnea, you can reduce your cholesterol, you can gain control over anxiety. These are the areas I want to discuss over the next few months. Read the newspapers and it is filled with how obese, disease ridden and medicine dependent we have become. Since I can go on forever about nutrition, I will take one topic at a time and provide details for you to master your health. Visit again, as information will constantly change.
I do not treat, cure or diagnose, so study for yourself the topics we discuss before making changes. Today I want to touch base about stress. Even if you are taking supplements, stress will quickly deplete them. If our foods are depleted of vitamins and minerals because of the lack of nutrients left in our soil, and stress depletes the supplements we are taking, then it leaves the conclusion that steps to reduce stress need to be taken. From a holistic point of view, you need to de-stress. Take hot showers/baths, meditate, listen to music, read a book, take a walk, keep your body moving- Exercise will decrease stress. From an emotional perspective perhaps stop rushing (get up earlier, leave for work before traffic), forgive and forget - this alone lifts a tremendous burdon off of most people. Take deep breaths - you will be amazed how 5 deep breaths will relax you. From a nutrient perspective try increasing your B vitamins and take a very high pharmaceutical grade liquid mineral. Drink plenty of water, add oxygen drops like cellfood, rehydration, etc. if your budget allows. Today health food stores have anxiety sprays and drops - they are usually herbal and help to take the edge off of your stress level (without getting dosey). I have used them many times and they work for me. Make a conscious decision to control stress. Add a fun activity to your week - take ballroom dancing classes, join an art class, join a leisure sport team...try some calming activities too this year too like yoga, stretching classes. De-stress, that is our January Goal.
